Craig Havens (PhD) is an artist working in the mediums of photography, moving images, sound, sculpture and site-specific installation. Artworks explore alternate perspectives on public monuments, personal archives and cultural memorials in order to reactivate their relevance in daily life. By operating within the dramatic interplay between memory systems and our present experience, the work offers viewers opportunities for confronting the reality of transience and the improbability of existence.
